OVERVIEW

Materiel logistics is the through life management of materiel to achieve the stated requirements of defence capability managers. 


It is a multi-disciplinary approach to the planning and management of materiel's logistics elements. It combines the life cycle disciplines of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Supportability Analysis to provide a comprehensive approach to the development of sustainable and supportable mission systems and their support systems.

Successful achievement of this qualification requires the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques for self and others.
