There are no formal entry requirements for this unit. However, it is recommended that learners have:
- Experience working in a public sector, procurement, or project management environment
- Sound communication and analytical skills
- Access to a computer and internet connection for online study.

COURSE STRUCTURE
This unit is delivered through four modules, each designed to build practical leadership and people management skills:
1. Plan for Effective People Performance
Learn how to establish performance objectives, align team goals with organisational requirements, clarify expectations, and prepare effective performance management processes.
2. Lead and Develop Team Members
Explore techniques for motivating staff, supporting professional development, delivering constructive feedback, and encouraging accountability and engagement within teams.
3. Address Workplace Performance Issues
Develop the confidence to manage difficult conversations, resolve performance concerns, document outcomes, and implement performance improvement strategies aligned with workplace procedures.
4. Evaluate and Strengthen Team Outcomes
Review methods for assessing team effectiveness, recognising strong performance, supporting continuous improvement, and strengthening workplace communication and collaboration.

ASSESSMENT
Assessment for this course is completed progressively as learners work through each module and includes:
- Short-answer and knowledge-based questions
- Workplace and scenario-based activities
- Practical leadership and performance management tasks
- Coaching, feedback, and team performance activities
- A final competency assessment to confirm applied skills and knowledge
All assessment submissions are reviewed by a qualified assessor to ensure competency requirements are met.
Students who successfully complete all assessment requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment for BSBLDR522 – Manage People Performance.
