OVERVIEW

This course guides you through Aimpoints Project Management On-The-Job delivery method. 


This course is established to as a guide for the student, their supervisor or employer and the trainer / assessor to use in the delivery of the required training and outcomes for BSB50840 Diploma of Project Management. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this unit. However, it is recommended that learners have:

- Experience working in a public sector, procurement, or project management environment

- Sound communication and analytical skills

- Access to a computer and internet connection for online study. 


COURSE STRUCTURE

This qualification is delivered through four modules designed to build confidence in managing projects from initiation through to completion:


1. Establish Project Requirements and Objectives
Learn how to interpret project requirements, define deliverables, identify project constraints, develop timelines, and prepare effective project management plans.


2. Coordinate Project Activities and Teams
Develop practical leadership skills to manage project personnel, facilitate communication, coordinate stakeholders, and support effective teamwork across project activities.


3. Control Project Delivery and Outcomes
Gain skills in monitoring schedules, controlling budgets, managing project risks, handling changes, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality and organisational expectations.


4. Review, Close, and Improve Projects
Understand how to finalise project activities, complete project reporting, evaluate project success, gather stakeholder feedback, and apply lessons learned to future project work.


ASSESSMENT

Assessment is conducted progressively throughout the course and includes:
- Knowledge-based questions
- Scenario-based project management activities
- Practical project planning and management tasks
- Workplace-based leadership and communication activities

A final assessment to demonstrate overall competence. 

All assessments are reviewed and marked by a qualified assessor.

Students who demonstrate competence across all units within the qualification will be issued a nationally recognised BSB50820 – Diploma of Project Management qualification.
